Work from home

“Women have to deal with a constant tension between their role as” queen of the house “and his desire for personal fulfillment in the workplace,” said psychologist Maria Rita Parsi. His remarks are part of the contents of an international conference organized by the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum, which took place on March 7 under the title: “Women between Family and Work.”

Parsi, president of the Fondazione Movimento Bambino in Italy, noted that many women experience a sense of guilt if they neglect their role as mothers for the sake of progress in their work. For this reason, he said, society needs to value both to women who choose motherhood as those who choose to engage in paid work outside the home.

The psychologist also noted that some women fear the prospect of not make the grade when compared with unrealistic models based on consumerism and selfishness. Also feel pressure to imitate the male modes of behavior in the workplace, especially in the way of personal expression and communication, said Parsi.

Other conflicts

For Martha Alicia Alles, business management consultant and professor at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, is important for women to decide what kind of career they wish to continue, if they choose.

Sometimes Alles noticed at the Congress held in Rome, women can not advance in their workplace, but not because they face discrimination, but because they prefer to give priority to family activities. Some even choose to leave their jobs altogether, to pursue his domestic role. And once the children grow, some women face serious obstacles to return to their jobs because the labor market does not readily accept the elderly.

Better than ever

There is no single recipe for helping women to balance their roles in society, noted Alles. However, although women have tougher conditions than men to achieve this balance, are in the best position ever enjoyed, he said.

Never before have so many opportunities in terms of educational level and choice of lifestyle they want, said Alles. Moreover, the current work gives priority to intelligence on physical force, a remarkable change compared with the past.

Need

To exercise this greater freedom, women need to listen to God, said in his lecture Marjorie Dannenfels, president of the Susan B. Anthony List, a political action committee dedicated to the election of pro-life women to Congress and state executive positions.

Dannenfels said: “We have to constantly ask God to help us to reassess the old decisions in light of our priorities. It’s something difficult and lonely. But, diventa cam girl thank God, we are together in the struggle in a world that has a deep thirst for authentic women’s leadership. ”

With God

To combine the various roles in their lives, women need to “discipline and organization, perseverance to problems and, above all, trust in God that will make our lives something beautiful, a work of art ineffable if we let him” the president said committee.

The second meeting on women and work took place on March 15 organized by the Centro Italiano Femminile. Alba Dini Martino, president of the center, told the newspaper that the data Avvenire in this field sometimes seem contradictory. In Italy, for example, participation of women in the labor force is 39.3%, lower than many other countries, “he said. However, the birth rate in Italy is among the lowest in the world. In contrast, France has a higher percentage of women in the workplace (54.8%) and a birth rate significantly higher.

To further complicate the lives of women, said Dini Martino, is the tendency for children to live at home until a much higher age. Some mothers have to care for their offspring until they reach their thirties.

Childless

Contrasting opinions

The conflict between family and work life of women arouses diverse opinions. A radical response-probably too radical even for many feminists, was expressed by Rachel Roberts in an opinion article published on 3 January in the Sydney Morning Herald. His advice: It is better not to have kids.

She has nearly 30 years and says, “I have never before been more sure of not wanting to have children.” Roberts said that, despite years of feminism, society still expects women to bear children. She argues, however, that having children is just a waste of time and energy that could be devoted to other activities.

Fertility declines

Others say it is better that women have children first, and only then worry about other issues such as career. So says Sylvia Ann Hewlett’s recent book Baby Hunger, “reported on 17 March the London Observer newspaper.

Hewlett, who was former adviser to the British Labor Party leader, Neil Kinnock, noted that women who opt to set up professionally before having children are at risk of not being able to have children later. Many women do not realize how their fertility ragazze russe plummets after thirty, he warned.

A known fact for which solutions were indicated

Joe Thompson, coordinator of a group dedicated to helping people who can not have children, told the Observer: “There has been a definite increase in the number of professional women, aged between 30 and approximately 35 years, who have contacted our because services have been profoundly affected by the fact that he left the possibility of having children for too late. ”

The Observer quoted one study, “Employment of Mothers and Use of Care for Children”, by Gillian Paull. “Most young women facing a tough chock when trying to have a child and a career,” said Paull. In fact, the more successful (career) is a woman, the less likely you are to find a husband and care for their children, he added.

Some Home Remedies Come Back and Bite You

Some auto owners would never suspect that a criminal is waiting in the shadows to steal their ride. And following the universe’s order, these are usually the owners who have their cars stolen. Other auto owners are all too aware of the dangers and sometimes go to drastic measures to make sure their vehicles remain safe.

People have tried a wide variety of homemade car alarms over the years, maybe none quite as alarming as a middle-aged woman in Strasburg, Virginia who, in 1997, decided that her pit bull would keep her Honda Accord safe during a quick shopping trip (not actually pictured).

Let’s call her Peggy, for the sake of anonymity. Well, Peggy’s pit bull was young and fierce, known a real trouble maker throughout her rural neighborhood. She was also reclusive, rarely seen in public and certainly never known to drive.

One day, Peggy, for whatever reason, decided she and her paranoid personality needed to stop off at the local Food Lion for some groceries. And to keep her and her car safe on the journey, Peggy brought her pit bull along – let’s call him Paulie.

Riding with a dog in the car is already a gamble. If the dog sees something he wants, he could leap out of the window. If he’s startled, he might jump in your lap and cause an accident. If he’s not wearing a seatbelt, you could get a ticket (okay, I’m not sure if that’s true…). You’re playing online slots with your life—and possibly other lives—when you decide to take your trained killer on a road trip.

Peggy parked her car around 10 a.m. and left the window cracked for Paulie. The idea: if anyone put their peeps on the pit bull, they’d reconsider stealing the car and/or its contents. Well, that seems reasonable enough.

After about 20 minutes in the store, Peggy entered the checkout line and paid for her groceries. She walked back into the parking lot, only to find her Honda with the passenger-side door ajar and no sign of Paulie.

Thinking her ferocious pit bull would keep onlookers at a safe distance, Peggy didn’t even bother to lock up her doors. The criminal in question on this day wasn’t interested in Peggy’s car, though. He was far more intrigued with the muscular guard dog holding down the fort.

Peggy’s method was effective to an extent. After all, her car wasn’t stolen and she wasn’t harmed. But as far as her pit bull goes, she never saw Paulie again. At the end of the day, a simple car alarm—or even just locking her doors—was all Peggy needed.

Here’s to the big thinkers of the world.

Reasons to Buy a Car Alarm

Car alarm systems are abundant and cheap in today’s world. Even the lowest end system you could possibly purchase is worth it for a few great reasons. Obviously, the ideal alarm would be high-end to protect you against every possible threat. But if you were strapped for cash, any system that alerts you when something goes awry is worth its weight in gold.

So, what are the reasons you should purchase a car alarm? Well, obviously, the one that stands out—and for good reason—and catches your eye is the theft scenario. Auto theft certainly makes the list and is probably the number-one reason on anyone’s list that you should purchase an alarm system. But there are other reasons you should know about.

If you live in a nice, peaceful neighborhood bereft of crime and only use your automobile on certain occasions, then you may think you don’t really need an alarm. But the benefits of having one are too great to overlook.

First up, look at the “scare factor” your alarm gives you. Your alarm is going to sound at any threat. If you’re inside washing clothes, gambling on an internet casino, cooking dinner, or any one of a host of other things, you’d do well to have a system in place.

People might not be interested in stealing your car, but kids, even in the nicest neighborhoods, sometimes get a vandalism streak and will key, paint and steal pieces of your car for giggles. When they go to touch it, the shrieking will scare them away and keep them away for good.

And what about those annoying maroons who decide that it’s okay to put flyers in your windshield wiper every time they want you to know about Mormonism or their latest internet marketing venture? Buzzing them away is well worth having an alarm.

This reason is going to sound trite, I know, but bear with me. Some bird excrement can eat right through your paint if it sits too long. A sensitive car alarm will alert you to the latest bird bath and you’ll be able to remove the stuff before it damages your paintjob.

You’ll also be able to save some money on your insurance premium if you have a good alarm system. What you pay for insurance is all about risk assessment. If your vehicle’s less likely to be stolen, then you’re a lower risk and thus won’t have to pay as much money.

We could go on and on giving you reasons to buy a car alarm. But let’s end it with a question. Can you think of one reason not to have one?

Car Security – Fail Section

There are technologies. This is the simplest statement which one can use to describe all the tendencies in your property protection, especially when it comes to cars. However, there are still people who like to do things in old fashioned way. This post is tribute to them.

Here is the “old-school” mechanical anti-carjacking protection:

Another category is about the people who follow the saying – things which are not attached are for saying. They try to fight it by attaching their vehicles:

The Blaster

One of the most famous inventions in the anti-carjacking industry is the Blaster also known as BMW Flamethrower.

Its effectiveness it is not the reason why it is popular but it is about how different is in idea. To understand how it works, see the video below.

It was invented in South Africa in 1998 when the crime rates where  very high and carjacking was a huge problem. One of the main preconditions for this invention is that it is legal in South Agrica in self-defense to use lethal force, so ownership of such devices are unrestricted.

The blaster is a flamethrower of petroleum gas installed in the bottom of vehicle next to the doors.

If a carjacker approaches, the driver might seemingly surrender but with feet it is possible to initiate the Blaster.

By 2001 there were only couple of units sold, so soon after this product left the market for good.

Anti-carjacking Technologies

There used to be times, not too long ago when to borrow somebody’s car all what was stopping you was a key on a car door. It just took somebody to either smash the window or have luck in lock picking (the starting the car was much simpler) to turn the ownership into different hands.

Luckily the technology has changed a lot and now we have a lot of different ways of protecting our cars. In the time of hard economic times it seems to be of even greater importance.

Car alarms

Car alarms were the first major step. They were especially popular towards the end of the last century. Still, the newest research shows that people have become immune to car alarms. Do you know the story about the Boy who Cried Wolf. He did it 2 times and all the villagers rushed to help him; it turned out to be a false alarm. But when the wolf really came, they did not believe his cries anymore. Nowadays when somebody hears car alarm it is more associated with being too sensitive towards environment. It is sometimes enough for the alarm being triggered by heavy truck driving by.

Advanced systems

there are several more advanced systems to fight the carjacking. They work in a way that it makes it impossible to move the vehicle from the place it is standing, if the person who tries does not have the needed remote (a chip), key or do not know the correct procedure or the location of some hidden switch. The other major protection system are similar to Lo Jack – they are tracking devices installed somewhere in the vehicle. When the respective vehicle is stolen then it is easily findable by GPS signal.

The last is sub division of the anti-carjacking systems, not widely spread which actually harms the person who tries to steal the car. First of all, there might be problem of legality, for instance, if somebody is being burned by flamethrower installed in your car. Also, there is always this tiny chance you yourself might forget the safety procedure, also what is the point of the anti-carjacking system which also harms your car.

The technologies to protect your property have evolved a lot. All you have to decide is how valuable the car is for you and how much are you willing to invest in its protection.

CarSearch by LoJack:

CarSearch by LoJack:

CarSearch Stolen Vehicle Recovery System is a unique, proprietary system manufactured by LoJack Corporation of Dedham, Massachusetts, USA used by law enforcement in different countries to track, locate and recover stolen motor vehicles.

CarSearch is a proven technology that allows police or private security to track and recover stolen vehicles quickly, often while the thief is still in the vehicle.

The CarSearch process begins with the installation of a concealed location unit in the client’s vehicle. When the vehicle is stolen, the client reports this to the dispatcher at the system control center. The dispatcher activates the location unit that starts to transmit a signal unknown to the thieves. The tracker police vehicles lock onto the signal and intercept the vehicle apprehending the thieves.

Some facts:

CarSearch technology has been used successfully since 1986 in the United States. CarSearch benefits the vehicle’s owner, law enforcement, and insurance industry. Approximately ninety-five (95%) of all stolen vehicles equipped have been recovered, many within minutes. Stolen vehicles equipped with the location unit have resulted in an arrest rate many times that of non-CarSearch stolen vehicles. Due to the quick recovery with CarSearch many insurance companies offer discounts of up to 35% off the fire and theft insurance premiums for vehicles which have the location unit installed.

It is operating now in the 15 US states with highest rates of auto theft and 11 foreign countries including United Kingdom, Argentina, Russia, Trinidad and Tobago, Hong Kong, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Greece, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic. The system is currently being deployed in Germany, Kenya, South Africa and Korea.

The system is now in Russia with the deployment of the first regional system in the Russian capitol.
